I am a PA owner since tuesday last - bought it in snowy conditions with no options to test it before spring - but a good deal I hope. My first question to the community is regarding transportation. I have a trailer and consider to get the cradles for it. But quite a few videos show people loading the PA on to roof racks on their cars. I know the load for the hull is about 40 kg, and my everyday car is a little Suzuki sx4 being able to carry 50 rooftop. Is the sx4 roof at all an alternative for the PA. Opinions anyone? :?:

Not sure about the roof rack but if you decide to stay with the trailer skip the cradles and use either foam covered 2X4's or pvc as bunks to support the PA. The hull will sit perfect on either and will give you the best support as long as you run them the length of the hull and not perpendicular. There are several topics covering this on the site.

Good Luck and Welcome to the club!!

I used my trailer last year and it worked well with pvc tubes lifted up from the floor. Have had a fight with myself again - roofrack or not.
The bed in my truck is too short, thought I could have roof rack up front, but no, back to trailer transport of the PA 14.
I am using the same trailer for my ATV, so swapping around takes some time. I might end up with an inflateable i12 for shorter trips and to bring on the ATV in addition, but $$$$, next year possibly, anyone with same combination?

Have you considered a bed extender?

Hi, and yes, but the the trailer hitch is fixed on my Ford Ranger - 2012 model. Not possible to replace with an extender. But I am still considering if there are options I have overseen. Thanks for responding.
