Have any of you installed customized mounting boards? I know Madfrog makes some nice ones but I mean, hand made from scratch. A friend of mine purchased some Starboard material for cheap in attempt to make his own. I was wondering if any of you all had some experience with this.

I remember someone made nice Teak boards at one point. i can not find a picture, but i recall they were beautiful!

i would us the old mounting boards to locate the screw holes and the running edge that joins in with the gunwale of the PA.

i find those pics i'll try to post them

I've made a custom side board for my Outback out of 1/2" marine grade starboard. I will be picking up my PA within the next few weeks, and I'll will also making some custom sideboards for it also...

Looks great - do you think it could be adapted for a Revo? Does it interfere with your paddle stroke when using a paddle?

Good question.... I've personally never seen a revo up close enough to tell if it has any sort of a flat surface to mount a piece of starboard to. But I'm sure that something could be done!
At first, my original dimensions were to wide, and it got in the way of paddling. So I trimmed off 3 inches of the width, and that made all the difference.

What is that stringer looking thing you have on your fish? Is that indeed a stringer, or is it a type of non-intrusive gaff?
