This is the bungee net I made from about 11 feet of Bungee cord and clips. It keeps my jacket dry and off the floor when it gets hot. I think black would have been a better choice but blue is all they had at the time. |

Looks good...every seat back should have some sort of storage....I hated that they took the little packs off the standard Hobie seats!!! (HINT, HINT) |

Very nifty idea. I do miss those storage bags behind the seat like the other Hobies. Looks like a nice spot to for keeping a larger waterproof box for large plugs. Hummm. I LOVE your idea. |

Thanks for sharing DryBones! Did you source the footman loops at West Marine also? |

I have a light weight backpack with 2 compartments that attaches to the seat with plastic buckles…similar to the ones already on the seat itself. |

I did something similar a while back. I screwed in 6 padeyes, 1 in each corner, and 1 center top and bottom, and just use little bungee's to hold jacket/towel/pfd or whatever. however, I dont think a plano box on the back would feel too good. |

Nice idea for storing the soft items you want to get off the floor or might blow out. I like this idea very much. May I steal this or should I submit some coins to the inventor? Thanks. |

This little backpack can hold 2 - 3700 plano boxes or whatever else you deem necessary. It has a bungee drawdown, which allows you to adjust the size to fit the contents. As I have the oversized Precision Pak tackle storage system. I really just use this for my lunch, thermos of coffee and a light rain jacket. Anyhow, found this in Walmart for $4.99. Two zippered opening: 3700 box (can fit 2) Draw down (adjusts to size of contents) |

I used Joeyb's seat slider and found it to be one of the best mods I have added. Thanks Joeyb. |

I used Joeyb's seat slider and found it to be one of the best mods I have added. Thanks Joeyb. I use the seat slider as well and cannot agree more that it's probably one of the best mods you can do for a PA. The backpack above looks like a nice workable solution. It's interesting that a lot of kayakers use the plastic milk crates behind them to put items in. I do have a black plastic milk crate, but have yet to use it. I wonder how many people use the side areas by the seats to strap down Plano style tackle boxes? I have 4 large ones that fit perfectly and can also fill the tackle storage under the cutting board hatch. That still leaves me room for rod storage, but it's just a ton of tackle to carry. I'm curious how much tackle folks carry with them for a typical trip. I'm heading out in the morning for flounder, reds and trout and basically have all my tackle needs in the storage bin in front of the seat. Yes, I love this forum for the same reasons! Tight lines! |

Is that 1/4" bungee or the 3/16"? How long? Oh, and THANKS for posting a great idea like this. |
