What a coincidence... We have an Outback and just ordered the PA 12, and we think we will put it on top of our Dodge Ram 2500. The Yakima we have is wide enough for both, and we hope to carry them on top of the cab.

At the risk of sounding dumb, this is my question: why does everyone seem to prefer to carry the PA right side up? Aren't the gunwales the most sturdy part of the boat? Then you don't have to worry about distorting the hull.
