I haul both of my Freedom Hawks in my little pickup bed Ridgeline with this great bed extender/net.
Recently, I had to replace some redwood on our deck, this Edge extender handled a dozen 14' 2X4's with no problem. The guy in the lumber yard put the wood in the back of my Ridgeline. Then, we connected the Edge to the back two hold downs, ran the net back over the ends of the wood and pulled the straps tight. We live on basically the only hill in Napa, and the wood and we got home easily and safely.
I have an 8' standup paddle and an adjustable AT paddle for my Freedom Hawks. Now, I never take them apart, after I load the yak and its stabilizers in the truck bed, I slide one paddle one each side and put the net on and pull the rear of the paddles into the snugged net.
I have been stopped 3 times by local LEO's, a city cop, sheriff deputy and a CHP. They wanted to see the Edge close up and the cost and where to order it. I carry that info for anyone who is interested.

I have never had any experiences with trailer things so any ideas others have would be great. My truck seems to not want to die (it is a toyota) and I was planning on adding a hitch when I buy a new truck, but not to the one with 200k miles.
