Post subject:  Previous model PA Seat on 2013 PA?

I'm not a big fan of the Vantage seat, mainly because I really enjoy sitting over the side of my kayak and the arm bars prevent that.

I have a 2012 model now, and the only reason I would upgrade to the 2013 is for the sake of the Lowrance transducer mount. Has anyone tried to put the old seat on the new model?

If I can get my hands on a 2013, I'll try to butcher it up and see what I come up with.

I wouldnt change just for the fish finder feature.....there are a ton of different ways to mount a fishfinder transducer.

I've seen units opperate both with a true wet mount in the hull as well as the new in the water, and there is certainly a noticeable difference, also the temp readings are much more accurate. it's also a cleaner install.

The flat deck is nice too, and the added aftermarket bucket to keep the old style the same is nice. But I could live without those.

There are a few posts showing how to modify the seat on a Pro A and some allow you to swing and move in any direction.
