Here's a few add ons. I finished my bait tank/livewell with a submersable LED light and strapped the wires. Found a motorcycle bungee cargo net at O'rielly's for $11. Fits great!

What brand and model is your trailer? I'm about to get rid of my truck and buy a Subaru Outback. I'll have to start looking for a trailer once that happens as there's no way I'm going to top load my PA on it! Most trailers I see have the smaller wheels but I need something capable of some road trips. Twelve inch wheels would be perfect for this.

How are you strapping the PA down to the trailer? I think I'd like a bow roller bracket up front possibly with a composite "Y" brace to nose the boat up too. Then I'd just have to hook the bow and throw a mid strap over the boat.

Very nice! Clean well done rigging. Is that just closed cell foam in the front hatch?

Nice set. cool custom seat. I like the gear track.

You should enjoy the time with it.

Ring King,

This trailer used to be a Haulrite for hauling an 18' john boat. I found it in a guys front yard and picked it up for $100. I reconfigured it especially for the PA. I did a lot of measuring and cutting. I narrowed the trailer and axle by 14". Most of the work I did with a saws-all. I only had to make one weld to rejoin the hub to the shortened axle. I also removed two of the three springs on each side. They now flex nicely and any shock is distributed throughout the trailer and not my boat. You'll notice my "bunks" are 3" electrical conduit. They have nice flex (but not too much) and conform well to the hull. I think one of the worst things you can do is put a center bracket on this kind of set up. The pipes NEED to be able to flex. I re-bolted everything together, ran knew wiring, new lights, threw some new tires on the 13" wheels, Gave it a shot of Rustoleum galvanizing spray, and put some reflective stickers on it. I'd take this trailer anywhere, any distance.

This may sound like a big project but it's not bad. It just takes more thinking than doing.

Thanks!

Mr Green,

The material in the front hatch is part of a rubber workout mat you can get at walmart.

YakerJack,

It's not a poser! :) I get her slimed quite a bit. I just spend two hours cleaning it when I get home....and she lives in my climate controlled garage. LOL!!

Nice job , the only thing i would do is get rid of the square sides in the cooler, it's an easy modification to round out the corners so the bait swims much more unobstructed.

I had something similar and with certain bait's it was not as efficient as it could be.

I installed a seat like that in my Outback, i went with the more plush model , it's much better and the yak performs great in rough stuff with it.
