I have to say thanks for giving us all ideas on modifying our kayaks. I saw where you had plastic welded in the recessed threaded inserts to make them waterproof. Well today I wanted to add to recess angled rod holders on a 2011 PA. The spot just forward of the existing formed rod holder has a small flat spot. That spot also has a recessed socket for bungie cord. I cut that opening for the angled rod holder which involved me removing the screw in eyelet. Well that eyelet I had to cut the bottom out of it to fit the rod holder. I remembered you cut a small round and welded it in place. Worked like a charm. Thanks again Tom |
