I've been using the supplied paddle clamp on my 2011 PA14, but never liked having the paddle inside the cockpit, and in the way. I just ordered those quick fist clamps, and will mount them on the left side of the boat. I net fish on that side, but I have my anchor trolley on the right side and that would be a worse conflict. As mentioned by others, I use the paddle during launch and landing when the Mirage Drive is out - and to occasionally back up.
