I have several areas that I want to cover with carpet to dead the sound when laying down reels/gear. Would like to have this match the already installed carpet/mat on the PA. Anyone know how to obtain this?

Hi, islandspeed,

Have you considered Sea Dek mats? They look a lot like the ones on the PA's.

You can buy the replacement mats from Hobie. Thhey are preshaped to fit the existing placement. Easly cut to fit the other areas.

Ring King advised me of the stuff the floor is made of. Here is the link if anyone is interested.

Pricey but sure would look nice in an already expensive boat

SeaDek and OceanGrip products are virtually identical until you look at the cost. You owe it to yourself to check out both before making a decision. SeaDek does offer a better color selection, but not worth the extra money for my boat. I have one of each in my 2 Pro Anglers only because I bought the SeaDek before I discovered the OeacnGrip.

I appreciate your decision to use carpet to reduce sound. You can search on the internet for further information or consult an expert in this.

No issues with SeaDek for me. Almost 3 years old and in the Gulf every week. :D

I looked at the SeaDek product when it was first offered for the PA-14, but decided to pass owing to the cost.

Last year, SeaDek had a sale on several colors and I decided to purchase the "Storm Gray" colored pads at 50% off.
Well, it's now been a year and I really can give the product a big thumbs up!

Aside from the cushion comfort when I kneel down, it is quieter, and cooler in the hot summer sun.
Easy to clean and overall a nice addition to my Papaya color, PA-14.
