What a beautiful morning.... With a picture perfect sunrise, went out and found that I was the only kayak out there all morning. I just can't get over how perfect the conditions were and yet there was nobody around. Fish were very active and the opportunities were numerous. Was somewhat disappointed that I ended up losing what would have been the biggest fish of the day. A beefy Red comes to the surface and aggressively snags the lure. Had the fish on for a good run and yet a minute later I am standing there wondering in complete disbelieve. Oh, well..it has happened before and I am sure it won't be the last time. Lots of action in the area... In fact, there was so much going on around me I didn't have to move from the area all morning. There were Reds and more Reds and then there were other fish around me like Trout, Sheephead and Ladyfish.... Seemed like the fish would not go away. I spooked Redfish school after Redfish school and they just kept coming back. Video Link included... Watch the video for the rest of the story.....

Awesome vid!! How do you like the PA for the 'Goon? Any issues with it the turbo fins and shallow water? I usually fish the NMZ out of a Native Ultimate 14' but am dyin' to get a PA 14'.

I have a Hobie Quest, Hobie Revolution 13 and the Pa14.... I almost always take the PA with me to the Lagoon now. It goes anywhere the other boats go and it is so much more comfortable. No issues with shallow water. The bottom is soft enough to where it doesn't hurt the fins if I hit the bottom with them. It is a great ride...!
