Just hearing a few whispers about a new rudder fitted to PA's.
Anyone heard or seen one ?
Are they going to be available for retrofit I wonder ?
Would be nice if steering was improved :D
Cheers,
Rod

Nothing yet available from Hobie Cat, but we are working on a larger rudder. Would be available as an upgrade... not a retrofit I think. Not expensive. I would hope for Spring 2014 availability.

Hey Matt.
That's great news, thankyou.
Have "they" been testing it ? ( shhhhh...secret Hobie business I guess)
I'll put one on back order now
Do love my PA :D
Cheers.

Testing? Of course!

No part number yet available to order it though. From what I hear... it extends aft and is wider, so loading / lifting using the skids could cause issues.

It's simply a bit larger blade. Not a rudder system, so not a Twist and Stow or anything related to eVolve mounting capability.

Figured this would be the only solution but see it not working that well for me when loading/unloading. Guess I would need to start using the Trax 2 cart that I bought and never use. So easy to just drag it up to the trailer for loading.

I don't worry about the bottom getting scratched because it is going to get banged anyway. Like my dad always told me when I left the house with the family car..... keep the shiny side up
