An easy way to hold the paddle and Stake-Out Pole in my ProAngler ..

Two bits of Elastic Nylon Cord 6-10mm used to do the job

I hope it serves to take some ideas, it's cheap and and useful.

Simple but effective.

Nice job. What did you use beneath the side rail posts? How did you attach it to the bungee cord?

Hobie now has a paddle clip that came installed on my 2013 PA-14......it sells for around $10.00, P/N 71119001 and it works quite well.
The nice thing about the clip is it self threads into an existing padeye hole, adjacent to the aft, left side rod holder....no additional holes are required to install it.

I use 2 of the new taco style paddle clips. One for the paddle and one for my net. Works very well.

Very creative. That is the way I hook the paddle on my Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120. I hadn't thought of it for the PA. I'm on it! Thanks

Which one do you use?

Where do you have them mounted?

Here's how they look. Works very well for me.

I simply don't trust the taco style paddle clips. I have lost (and found) my paddle too many times. My feeling is that if you are required to wrap a velcro strip around the clip to get it to be secure then all that tells me is that the clip isn't working in the first place!!

Jerry,

The clips use a small diameter shock cord that hooks into notches in the clip. It holds the paddle very securely. I guess it might depend on the particular paddle you are using, but they work fine on a single Hobie paddle with a "T" handle for me.

I have a safety leash on my paddle, so losing the paddle is a non-issue for me....I like the Hobie taco saddle or cradle or nest.....I won't call it a "clip" because it's not really a clip in the true sense.
As SRAces noted, the saddle/cradle/nest has a small shock cord that secures the Hobie paddle in place.

I replaced the stock paddle for a larger aluminum handled one. It is stiff enough to use for a small push in the shallow areas and holds well in the clip.
