We are out of stock. The initial order was sold out. I'd guess a month or two. |

Gemitaur...Your first photo shows the turning disc 180 degrees out of phase......Also on page 24 of your owners manual it shows the correct location/position of the turning disc. I see why it was rubbing on the cover as the disc was in the "shallower part" of the recess. Glad you figured it out! |

Stock arrived and was rejected by our factory / engineers. I believe they were warped. No ETA on the next batch due in, but if in transit, I suspect they may also have issues. |

I just asked my Hobie dealer to order direct from Hobie Parts folks using the part number Matt Miller gave above.....84612001 RUDDER BLADE, LARGE PRO A. Thanks for sharing this, just posted on another thread about this and see it's slowly making the market. |

Any updates on the new rudder availability. How about reviews from those that were lucky enough to get one |

Make a difference at faster speeds but at a stop still doesn't help, have the really pump to turn quick. I was expecting a huge difference like the sailing rudder on an outback I suppose. |

Quote: at a stop still doesn't help, have the really pump to turn quick. I was expecting a huge difference like the sailing rudder on an outback All rudders require some water flow over the rudder to be effective. You must start moving then turn the tiller SLOWLY... not hard at first. Simply jamming the rudder over stalls the rudder. The larger rudder is currently in stock. |

G,Day All I have recently fitted the larger rudder to my PA 12, what a difference it has made, as others have stated, it still takes a bit of forward motion to get it to turn, but hey, that change to the rudder size has now made the PA a fishing delight, yesterday I peddled upwind(10 Knts of breeze) and tied a double uni knot( leader to main line) and a loop knot to the lure without touching the steering controls once, absolutely fabulous. best thing I have done(buying the larger rudder) apart from buying the PA to start with. Tight lines Keevo |
