Anyone else experiencing the lumbar adjustment knob digging in the middle of their back while leaning into the seat. It has been such an issue, I'm in search of a remedy. Does anyone have a solution or mod they are willing to share? I have thought of wrapping the support bar and knob in some type of pipe insulation or get a padded back rest. Can't image this set was designed to perform this way or maybe this is a rare instance.

If you tighten the knob, the lumbar support will work and push the knob away from the back cushion.......

I agree with islandspeed2001. You can adjust the lumbar support mechanism so when your weight is pressing back you're not feeling or hitting the crossbar/knob area. If that's not the case then it boils down to personal physical needs and you might have to figure out a way to make it comfortable for you. I'm hoping it's just an adjustment in your case. Good luck!

You "could" feel the knob if you leave the lumbar adjustment very loose.

Review the adjustment process.

Pull the knob down to release and allow the knob to turn counterclockwise which releases the support.

Push the knob up and click... and turn ratchet adjustment until the seat is firm and supporting your lumbar area. With it moderately tensioned, there should be an inch or more between seat back and knob. If not, the knob is not engaged and functioning. It takes a bit of force to release and engage the knob.

The lumbar is shown in detail at 2:25
