I found a Hobie PA 14 going for $2200 and it is in "like new" condition from the pictures I have seen. It has the mirage drive, paddles and all the gear that came with it originally.

Is this a good price?

By the time you add a fish finder, rod holders, trolley, etc... you will be up in the $2400-2600 range. You can find a fully loaded 2011-12 PA for less than 2200 (I paid $1850 for my 2012 that came loaded and was well-cared for). I'd wait for a better deal- or, make a reasonable offer if you really like that one.

I waited for the 2013 PA-14 to hit the market as it has the new "killer seat".....IMHO, the seat is so much better than the previous seat.
There is some additional, internal foam to stiffen the deck where you sit and stand and dual steering capability.

If you can find a 2014 PA-14, that has the steering BOA as "standard".....or retrofit a 2013 PA-14 with the steering BOA as I did.

2200 was the price I paid for mine brand new from my local hobie dealer in 2011. I ended up selling it fully loaded for 1950 last year before I purchased the 2015 model. I agree with Dr.SteelheadCatcher, the seat is way more comfortable. If you can hold off, I would recommend you get one with the newer seat.

Go to Facebook and join the group Hobie Kayak Fishing. Several PA's for sale there and much better value IMHO.
