I love the H-Rail system, and I'm toying with the idea of bolting an H-Rail onto the front of my marine cooler! Want to know if the 21" bolt-on will fit. Can someone tell me the total length of the 21" bolt-on from the outside of base to outside of base?

The H-Rail kits, both 9 and 21" come in three sections. The hexagonal tube and the outside mounting brackets or arms. You can easily use a hack saw to cut down the 21" tube on the H-Rail Kit to make it fit perfectly. I mounted the 9" H-Rail on the back of my Coleman 55qt Steel belted cooler, which is about 21.5" wide. Then mounted gear tracks on each side, and a set of YakAttack hog trough brackets on the front.

Here are a couple of pictures. I mainly use the H-Rail to hold my Hobie Tackle Bin behind the cooler, but in easy reach. Sorry everything looks so dirty...I have been fishing a lot and not cleaning enough!

Just found a picture that shows the total length out of the bag is 28". But like I said, it would be very easy to trim the tube down to the perfect size you need.
