I am using a couple of Scotty Gear Head with rod holders. I have tightened them down as much as I can without breaking them and have had them slip when fish hit the line. I have loosened the drag as much as I can and it is still happening. How do I stop this from happening?

Track mounted Scotty Gear Head? Keep in mind that if the Gear Head is mounted on the port side of the kayak and you get a trolling strike, the gear head is susceptible to loosening because the Gear Head wants to rotate counterclockwise when that happens. The gear head is really meant for lighter duty rod holder applications...
