| Post subject: | Mounting fish finder on ram ball mast insert |
Has anyone mounted their fish finder on a 2015 pA 14 using the ram ball mast insert? Is it hard to reach? I'm 6'2". My PA is stored away for the winter so i cant sit in it to visualize it but I would like to order the stuff now so I'm ready to go when it gets nice out. I would love to see some pics. |

I like the finder mounted here, but you'll need to lean/scoot forward to manipulate the settings on the unit. |

IMHO, that is the worst place for the location. Can't easily reach to change screens and harder to see details.....Don't do it! |

That's where I have mine. I do have to leave the seat to change anything, but I simply set all the settings to "Auto" and let the unit adjust itself. The only real change is the depth setting, anyway, unless I want to switch to/from normal and downscan. Otherwise, I turn it on at launch and off at landing with no other attention required. |
