I need to replace my broken off forward drive pull lever on Mirage 180. I guess I can get under warranty from hobie, but thing broke under screw nut, so how do I get broken threads out of plastic housing when break is flush with it?

Thanks

1. Use a screw extractor
2. Take it to your dealer

The new V2 style is a complete replacement kit with larger (5/16") threads - so you will get new levers as well as the tendons. Talk to your dealer and they'll file a claim for you.

Thanks all, I talked to dealer and sent photo, he emailed back that warranty claim filed with Hobie. PA12 is about 9 months old.

After dealer submitted warranty claim I received at home both shift levers as complete set with plastic arm it screws into (item #'s 81486021 & 814910021). It was very easy install and I believe it will work well.

However, they also sent me new fins; "MD180 V2 Boom-Mast-TBO Fin Kit Iten # 81501112". These are different than my existing fins, these fins connect to drive with pin and split rig, whereas the existing fins connect via a screw through top of fin into cutout window in fin. My dealer is perplexed so are the new fins upgrades or old stock they sent me by mistake?
