Hello all. I am brand new to kayaking and just bought a 2014 PA12. I bought it knowing that the rudder wouldn't drop on its own after releasing the tension. It eventually drops when I wiggle the rudder control a bit. I searched on here and youtube but couldn't come up with a fix. I did see another post that included a photo of the rudder assembly and the assembly has a spring at the top. I'm guessing that I have an issue with a spring??? Thank you in advance

AJ

Yep. There’s supposed to be a spring in there to spring the rudder.
