Hi Hobie,

I am thrilled to have bought my dream, a 17T, Friday. Although most trolling motor installation videos show drilling a hole in the top side deck for the power plug, I want to remove the forward starboard rod tube and instead have a plate fabricated the same size as this base, with the 4 mounting holes using the existing mounting pattern, and a hole for the trolling motor plug and control, and maybe other cable glands. I think this is a better arrangement, and I am sure that I can get along with just the other 9 rodholders, LOL.

Is it possible to email me the 3D CAD file of this part, or even just a drawing of the base including the hole centers? It looks like the shape of this base is trapezoidal. I use Solidworks, but a neutral file format (STEP, IGS) would work fine.

I will also be installing a HDS Gen 3 12" 3D, should be interesting.

Thank you,

John
