Hey Guys, New to this site. I have a Mirage outback suv and wanted to transfer my Helix 5 fishfinder to it. Only issue is the transducer wont work on the traditional transducer arms. Any Suggestions

Depending on which transducer you have with the unit, Hobie offers a Humminbird adapter kit. Many of the Humminbird side imaging transducers don't fit in the Lowrance Ready cavity. In that case, your best bet is probably a BerleyPro mount: https://www.berleypro.com/product-category/hobie/

I have the Helix 5 Transducer. Just the down imaging unit. Not the side imaging so its pretty big

Also, my kayak does not have the lowrance ready plug. Its actually the older outback. I do have four holes that go through the kayak. Two under the seat and two behind the seat. What wondering if they could be ran down through that.

I think the short answer is yes if the transducer plug will pass through the scupper drain holes.
If you are mechanically handy, you would need to rig up a means by which to hold the transducer in place under your Outback. Maybe a PVC pipe that the transducer is affixed and inserted into the scupper hole and exits on the top side of your deck/floor.

The down side is the transducer, is exposed to possible damage since its not covered/protected as is the Hobie "Lowrance Ready" feature found on later model Outbacks.
Just a thought.

You could glue in the down imaging transducer with Marine Goop. This is probably the easiest way to get the transducer mounting done...just make sure there's no air bubbles in the goop, as air bubbles will affect your readings. Hobie also offer a kit for rudder mounting transducers on non-Lowrance Ready Hobies. Everything is included for mounting, wiring and powering the unit, plus a detailed set of instructions:

Having used a transducer mounted/gooped inside the hull and then under the hull (Lowrance/Humminbird ready transducer pocket), the "in the water installation" is superior.
IMHO, mounting your style transducer on the rudder is a bad idea.

There is a RAM "swing arm mount" that would work too.
