Living beachside in Florida and have a PA14 sitting on a trailer outside with Hobie cradles underneath. Wondering how worried I should be abt sun damage. Is my kayak good to sit outside as long as it is appropriately supported? My local dealer said the sun would eventually affect the footpads. But is that all?

I store everything removable (seat, mirage drive) in my garage. I had a tarp over it for a while but it ended up collecting and holding rain water which I figured was worse than sun?

Sun (UV) is terrible on many petroleum products. I suppose heavily weighted down tarps with water are worse but if you can find any way to shade it I would.
