I recently had the seat back cable break at the splice. The new cable I got from Hobie is much thicker than the original. After much cursing I was able to get it installed. Now the lean adjustment control on the left armrest won’t “lock” into position and slips until the cable is level with the attachment point. This leaves me tilted way too far back to do much of anything.

I can’t figure out if the cable is too thick to let the adjustment barrel lock when the cable is partially wrapped on it or if rotating the adjuster back and forth may have rounded the edges that lock the adjuster. Anyone else experiencing issues with the new thicker cable on older seats.

Sounds like you've wound it around the arm rest backwards - that will make it just unwind - you gotta spin it around the other direction.
