Post subject:  Bungee loop use?

I have a new 2017 PA and it has a loop of bungee cord around 2" diameter attached under the rear edge of the mid floor hatch ( the one just in front of the seat). Is there a specific use for this. Is it to be used to hold the pedal back ( with another bungee) to keep the fins raised or is there some other reason it is there? Thanks

Does your owners manual give you a clue to what you found?

If it was a bungee to hold the mirage drive flat against the hull, the bungee would be on top of the deck and have a plastic retainer hook on the end.

Mine has that also, but in the front, and it is not the bungee for holding the drive in the spread eagle position. Can't find anything about it in the owners manual.

if you're referring to the small little one at the front of the square hatch, that is where you slide the directional cables under, helps keep tension on them

Yes, keeps the shifters centered and down out of the way. You can do it either way.
