Post subject:  Older PA Seat questions...

Hi,

What are these black clip things used for at the front bottom underside of the seat?

I haven't even used a PA...bought this 2012 a couple of months back and I'm still finishing up my trailer and fixing minor issues with the yak. I think I would like to raises the seat about 3". Has anyone raised or wanted to raise their seat? I think it's a pretty simple modification by just removing the bottom webbing, removing the 4 bolts I'm pointing to in the below image and then adding a plate spacer about 8" X 10" X whatever thickness needed. I have a plastics center near me and I can buy scrap HDPE and laminate them for the desired thickness.

Finally, what is the "Stainless Replacement Buckle" highlighted at the last part on the seat in the below image and anyone have feedback on the "Lumbar Support Pad", is it worth using?

Those black clips are for the steering control hub. If your boat has the controls mounted to the hull you don’t need the seat clips.
