I installed lights for night fishing on the ocean. I used lithium batteries in my rear hatch and ran a on off switch from a motorbike to turn on and off. I connected that switch to the chair. I drilled a hole at the rear top of the from leg and ran it through to the stretch band hole. I then attached two ip65 waterproof connections so I could removed the chair if needed. The stern I attached a folding light to the rudder plate by putting two holes and to flare head bolts pointed up with lock nuts to fasten then ran wire right below the chrome tie bar. I used the Hobie though the hull plug. All works well including my lowrance fish finder. I would like to put lights below the waterline. I’m still hesitant however , but I don’t see it being an issue as long as I keep it where the boat won’t put and pressue against it.
