I would recommend ditching the center cross brace otherwise you lose the entire purpose of using the PVC pipe. the pipe needs to be able to sag in the middle so as to conform to the shape of the hull. This was the sole reason I pioneered the use of PVC as bunks for plastic boats.

Nice video music. Felt like a scene from a Tarantino movie. Yak is nice also.

Here's a video I made about 7 years ago of the trailer made for our PA's. It shows the use of PVC in better detail. Note that the center of the pipes are non-supported (the 2x4 you see is several inches below the pipe) so that they can flex and cradle the hull per it's natural shape. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPd5n83lY5k

The only difference on your trailer is the pipe I used conduit and it conforms right in between the Kayaks haul. I have had it stored on my trailer for a year with no problems. The only thing I’d like to Change is the open area by adding elbows so the front doesn’t get scratched going up on the trailer. I have installed LEDs so I can submerge the rear into the water however it still has to meet the edges of that pipe. A trip to the hardware store is next

Love it! How long have you had that Reliable Fishing Products fish bag? How does it keep ice?
