I have experienced 5 failures of the rudder lines and the duration between failures seems to be getting shorter. I have two rudder handles installed on the boat (so that I can control the rudder with whichever hand is free). The boat is a PA 14 purchased in 2014. Each time, I have had the lines repaired by the dealer but something (e.g., worn part, improper routing of the lines, improper tension, two rudder handle glitch, etc.) is wrong. On my second outing after the last repair, the lines failed again. The dealer has a dedicated Hobie guy who does the repair and seems very knowledgeable but something is clearly not working. Is there something special about routing or tensioning the lines when two rudder handles are used? Suggestions

Maybe cutting on something inside the hull? There is a crossover line that is catching on a hatch screw or something?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll pass this along to the dealer and report back.
