No rumors but hopeful wishing. They SHOULD have a PA that comes ready to accept a Power-Pole.

I have a 2019 PA 14, To put a Power-Pole on the boat it was over a grand. I still had to paint the mount to match the boat because the mount is just in White.

PP - $600, Pole $100, battery $200, Hobie Mount $90 so after tax over a grand.

Just make the boat with a built in mount. Like the lower cost Outback.

Again, just hopeful wishing for the next PA

Agree. Also on my wish list is to provide a better seal for the rod tubes. Mine (and many others) have always leaked at the ends. Also the gasket around the flange of the rob tube base (where it screws into the hull) is paper thin. Better seal all around with the rod tubes is on my list.

Years ago on my 2013 PA-14, I used Duct seal to solve the leaking problem.

Simply roll the duct seal into 1/4" spaghetti, lay it around the tube flange, re-screw the tube assembly to the bulkhead.....I used a coffee stick to scrape off the excess Duct seal that oozed out under pressure.

Yes sir duct seal works great! That can also be used to seal around the ends of the rod tubes inside the hull as they leak too.

My hope is not to have to do extra seal work on future models. Regarding the area where the rod tube flange meets the vertical cockpit wall Hobie already includes a gasket there but it's paper thin. Increasing the thickness of the gasket is all they would need to do. I would gladly pay the few extra dollars the thicker gasket would cost. On the rod tubes themselves having a one piece rod tube would alleviate the leaking issues with water coming into the hull.

It will be great if there is a new version of the 81503002 BOOM V2 MD180 DRIVE that allows Kick-Up Fin Technology to be applied to the MD180.

I would imagine that some sort of a kick up adapter could be made that attaches where the fins currently attach to the 180 unit. The fins would then attach to the adapter. It would add a little length but it would be nice to have.
