So I went to retract the guardian mount on my 2019 PA 12 and the line snapped and disappeared into the hull. Looking for some advice on how to reroute and repair.

Did the knot that you tied, just come undone on the guardian system or did the line actually break? The line that they use is crazy strong.

Call Hobie's customer service, they have been great to work with. Whatever you find out please share.

It disappeared on the handle end, maybe the knot holding the handle on came undone, havent chased it into the hull yet, was looking for some insight first. I'll take a look this morning

My knot came off at the transducer end. I had to restring it with a better knot. From the handle end it does directly too a white tube. Get the string from the center hatch. From there it goes to the bow thru a pulley (accessed after taking the bin out of the front hatch) and then back to another tube which brings it out behind the seat. String it over the wheel and back down to the transducer. Overall it's not too much work.

Good luck.

Joker, can you give me an approximate location of the bow pulley? I just restrung it today, thought I had it done properly, but now i'm doubting myself because I didnt know this pulley existed

Look down further on this page. I posted a topic ‘Diagram of transducer wiring on PA12’. Take out the bucket in the front hatch and look towards the middle.
