I wanted to share the bait tank I just finished up for my PA14.
I worked off of several designs from youtube and this forum but modified the priming action for the pump.
Check out the youtube link.

I'm happy to answer any questions if anyone is planning their own build.

Nice work! I did a lot of research on building one for myself and actually went to buy a Vittles Vault at my local pet store and they didn't have what I wanted. I've ended up fishing more with artificials and really don't need it now.

I see you went with the Johnson pump over the Attwood. Curious to what the Johnson provides? Also are you running 12 volts or 6? I heard on 6 volts the pump works at a good rate but 12 it pumps too fast.

Actually I tried the Atwood pump (I had one from another project) first and for some reason, it wasn't able to draw water up through the PVC intake pipe consistently when the pump cycled on and off. I purchased a Johnson just to see if it would make a difference and sure enough, it did. I'm not exactly sure why.
I did go with a 12v system because I have (2) 12v 9ah batteries mounted in the hull which run the LED lights, USB and the pump. I figure I can switch between them if one goes dead. I installed the timer switch for the bait tank so it will cycle and hopefully not wear down a 9 ah battery on a normal day of fishing. I also added the valve inside the tank so I could adjust the inflow of water into the tank to keep it balanced with the outflow, otherwise, the tank would overflow.
I have a Lousiana redfish trip coming up in May, so I wanted to be able to have some live bait and possibly a live well for Blue Crabs, otherwise probably won't use it that much back in my home state of Colorado. It was a fun project to build though!
