Hi Everyone,

I am looking to buy a new pro angler 14. The dealer currently only have a demo PA14 that just came in that they can sell for ~5% discount. My main concern right now is if there is any difference between the hobie "demo" model vs a regular one, even if it is new? I would assume that the demo branded one are the ones that did not meet standard in some way shapes or forms. Does anyone have any insight into the quality of the "Demo" stamped model vs a regular model? If there is quality concerns than I would just rather buy new to save me any headache down the road.

Sometimes the DEMO would be a 2nd or blem / cosmetic issue, but function is 100%.

After talking with numerous dealers up north, they all just take a regular PA from their inventory & use it for a demo! At the end of the season, they sell it as used for a significant discount! They don’t have ‘factory seconds’ to use for demo models . . .

Yes. The designation is supposed to demand that they are actually used as Demos for the season before being sold. Otherwise... just a kayak. Same warranty.
