| Post subject: | Replacing front rudder control line on PA12 |
How do I replace the front rudder control lines on my PA12? The rear control lines are fine but the front line broke from the left rudder control. Can't figure out what needs to be removed to gain access to the front pulleys and control handles. I saw the illustration that depicts the line routing but it doesn't indicate the steps required to replace the line. |

Do I need to have a local Hobie dealer contact Hobie to order a repair kit? is there a part number associated with the kit? I just called the local hobie dealer where i just moved to and they arent aware of a kit. I am not really in any rush to get it, but im going by the dealer to buy a larger rudder and sail kit and figured i would just get this done at the same time. |

There is no specific kit for these lines. It is either black cordage or gray spectra. Depends on which is damaged. We have several repair guides, but nothing specific to this. Lines should be visible through the center hatch. You can mimic the opposite side. They function the same. |
