Vantage XT seat PA12 2021 360

The back part of the seat that rests on the stand for the high position and on the kayak for the low position has two 2" long rubber insert on the round bar. mine are positions such that they are proportionally on the back bottom bar and if in the up position they are not resting on the stands, they are both inboard about an inch. I'm being told I need to move them so that when in the up position they are positioned so that the will rest on the two stands for the high position. All the videos I can find they are not position that way so I'm looking for some guidance.
