My PA-17 cracked at the base of the Vantage seat on right side. It's setup with single seat. Anyway have called many dealers and have been in direct contact with Hobie Support. Took many times to Hobie to prove that I purchased this kayak from a Hobie Dealer and didn't buy it second hand. I registered my kayak with Hobie, and I have the emails to prove it.

DEALERS have told me that I can fix it real easy, and then I ask would the do it (cause they offer repair service) and will pay them for there time.....

WELL, NOBODY WANTS TO TOUCH IT!!!

Which states to me it can't be fixed. I purchased this kayak the first year they came out. It's past warranty. I got 5 years of great fishing from my kayak, and absolutely loved it. I currently own a 200lb polyethylene rock.

It is frustrating. I don't know what to do. Any help from anyone would be appreciated. Can I put some kind of support beams under the seat anchors. Anything?

Foam blocks and welding should do it. Lots of ideas in the forums on plastic repairs too. Dupont DP8010 as an adhesive, Backing plates maybe.
