My first hobie but have had several canoes kayaks over the last 35yrs. I love the propulsion of this drive.
When MD 180 is locked into drive well it feels to have a considerable amount of play. Particularly side to side. Is this normal/ok?

The drive should not rock side to side. Check that the drive is fully inserted in the click and goes and the levers are fully rotated to the locked position.

Thank you Matt.
I never had much opportunity to get it back out on the water due to work and cold temps, until today.
I think I had the foot pedals too close for my height as well as seat in highest
Position. Not only was it not comfortable it was causing me to push pedals somewhat outwards. Lengthened out, dropped the seat down and worked flawless as well as being much more comfortable over a distance.
Can still raise seat for fishing but for me traveling, seat works best and most comfortable in low position.

No regrets with the PA 14! Thanks again for your input.
