I was curious if anyone has had to warranty a hull this year and what kind of replacement times you all got?

The deck cracked around one of my front seat supports on my PA14 360 that was purchased back in April. Hobie accepted the warranty claim entered by my dealer a couple weeks back, but we've still had no word on an ETA of a replacement hull.

Luckily my repairs in conjunction with the foam column support the kayak is still usable. Otherwise I'd be singing a different tune lol. I'm just afraid of how long my repairs will keep it usable since its in a very weight bearing spot.

They should ship within weeks, but it also needs a Hobie dedicated truck headed in that direction. We do not ship LTL (Common Carrier) due to damage in that type of shipping.

So basically it won't come until the next shipment of kayaks come this way? Not trying to sound facetious, but there's a fair chance I won't get it this year due to current nature of things? I just want to know if I need to plan on putting money away to get a temporary cheapo kayak to hold me over the winter.

What happens if it breaks beyond the using point... Does warranty time get put on hold while everything sits around collecting dust? I'm very concerned about this thing not lasting that many more trips

Be in contact with your dealer. They should be the best source of ETA. I don't know about their orders or what trucks are scheduled. Not my thing here. We are constantly shipping... every day.

Appreciate it! Again I wasn't trying to be smart, I realize that Hobie demand is at an all time high, supplies are at a low and shipping is questionable currently. Still wouldn't trade the 360 for anything else on the market currently!
