Hi Southerns or Tropical Paradise types My wife and I honeymooned in Cuba. Amazing place (and no I'm not a Commie) lmao. One night there at 3:00am we did some skinny dipping and got 'distracted' as the 'Bioluminescence' in the Northern Gulf just swirled around us like an alien light beast. Has anyone tried to use low light imaging to capture this amazing occurrence in tropical or sub tropical seas? Actually I've seen it a few times summer time in protected waters of the North Pacific (Just not as intense as in warmer climes) Trinomite |

When I was a kid, used to run in the sand and surf at night in St. Augustine/Jax area, and kick this stuff up. Looked like sparks or stars coming of your feet. Cool stuff. Hey PeteS Yah not a huge item, yet that pic that you linked to was a very nice example. In truth I would love to see the AI/TI users discover there own ability to explore and use their own boats to places and image possibilities they may not have discovered before. Consider, the sub tropics are an easy sell for Sit-On-Tops due to water temp and lack for need of protective wear. Due to the very cold waters and nasty weather in the North Pacific, the Sit-Inside-Kayaks are still the standard here (even though they are cumbersome by design), to say the least. That can all be solved by a solid Dry Suit or a Farmer John in milder summer conditions, here. Thanks for your input, friend Fred |

When I used to do overnight races in my yacht in South Australia, we used to scoop up a bucket of the stuff and amuse our tiny minds for hours/minutes by swirling it around with our fingers (we were easily amused back then!) LOL. BTW, it is green coloured down there! |

Your handle reminds me of the Farr Quarter ton yacht (which was tragically lost off Sydney) which was given a Mauri-sounding name WYKIKAMUCAU |
