2 great days, 2 great songs, 2 great meals.

Finally completed this video of New Years Eve / New Years Day sail. It was my first overnighter using the Penthouse so I took a leisurely sail down to my local Island to stay the night. I also wanted to try out a simple camping recipe and also show how to knock up the simplest yet best breakfast ever.

Hope you enjoy it.

Post subject:  Fast Lane Sailing 4 Day adventure

We sailed four Island kayaks to the Catalina: two Hobie Mirage Tandem Island kayaks and two Hobie Mirage single Island kayaks. We set sail from Long Beach, CA. heading almost 180 degrees due south for 26 miles across open ocean. It took us about 5 1/2 hours each way, we camped at a boat-in campground on the leeward side of the island for 4 days and 3 nights, then sailed back. We were all 'self- contained-units', carrying everything from tents to cooking equipment to camera gear and spear guns. We hope our adventure inspires you... enjoy

Algonquin Park. For those of you unfamiliar with Algonquin Park, it's a MASSIVE, mostly wild park. For comparison, it's about 7,653 Square Kilometres (4,755 square miles) or as Wikipedia says, it's about one and a half times the size of the U.S. state of Delaware. It's known as a top destination for canoe trips and backpackers. It has 2,400 lakes, and about 1200 kilometres of rivers (745 miles). It has a number of car camping sites, but the vast majority of campsites in this park are only accessible by canoe, or by foot.

It's a few years since I sailed down to Pulbah Island at the southern end of Lake Macquarie to stay for a couple of days.

I apologise for the intro and credits. It took 6 hours to upload and then found that they had been cropped for some reason. But the main parts of the video of the trip are still intact. Hope you like it.

I've released the full version of my latest video, Fraser Island Dreams. Its a 24 min doco style vid on fishing from Adventure Islands on expedition at Fraser Isl Australia. Lots of great fish in this clip, and they get bigger as the video rolls. Some great sailing action to, especially in the credits at the end. Featured fish include marlin, mackerel, tuna, trevally, queenfish and more. Guest starring Carl Holland, Holger Goehr, Rhett Thorne, Paul O'leary and my son Fynn. Enjoy :-)

Ok, so I finally got around to completing my video review of the 2015 AI. This is the 720p special Shia LaBeouf edition (watch in HD) that was mostly shot at Fraser Isl over the course of a week-long expedition earlier this year.
