Sorry for perhaps a stupid post....I'm new to hobie sailing. I recently purchased an older H14 to finally get into some catamaran sailing. I have to say, it's a blast and much faster than the monohul dinghies I've sailed before. However, turning seems such a pain in the butt when I constantly have to swing the tiller around the back as I change sides. What is the best way to do it? is there a trick to it?

You're doing it right, swing the tiller around the back. It will get easier in time.

Yes, around the back.

You can toss into the water and grab again. You can grab close to the hinge and swing across the grab on the other side. All while facing aft.

Yes it gets easier with time just pass it around or toss in the water and then retrieve on the other side :D
