It is our first regatta of the year, and starts a pretty awesome racing series for our fleet...

I really wish we could have made it. Even though it looks fracken cold in the pictures.
The Larsons will come with the 20s to your next regatta at the end of the year. Hope t see everyone at Storm Lake June 1! The lake is filling nicely and we should Have good sized H17 And H16 fleets. Maybe a few H20's.

LOL!

I sure don't remember it being as cold as it looks in those pictures... Heck the water is a balmy 56 degrees or so.... The wind was light.. So it made it easy to stay warm.. :D

We really had a great time in spite of the weather.. Several new skippers at the helm, and my crew really seemed to enjoy his first time on a boat ever.. By some miracle I managed to stay competitive right on Jim's rudders all day Saturday, this including a couple come from behinds.. That kind of racing totally overcame the boredom of light wind and chills for him... Then on Sunday the sun was out, and dressing to be in the water meant at least I was pretty hot out of the water.. After some more great racing, the wind kicked up and we got to play around reaching and flying hulls... I am certain the kid would crew again in a heartbeat... Or at least I hope so...

Like the rest of fleet 297 the Holm family is really fired up about racing this year.. We are aiming to make as many of the D7 events as possible!!

The Frayed Knot at Clinton Lake, KS this fall is going to be awesome!!!!!
