"Extreme" is overused but these scenes have a few pucker worthy moments... 1:17 & 2:51 mins for example plus lots of potential pitch pole situations. Some conspicuous Hobie make an appearance too. http://youtu.be/knY08LrNyHg |

OceanX, my comment was about the weather conditions, not the race itself. And no, I have not participated in the race, but I have sailed quite a bit in high wind conditions (Coulmbia Gorge & Wallula Gap), some rather extreme (3 flips in 1 hour, speeds up to 26 knots). While the weather appeared to be brisk and exciting with potential for good speed and possible carnage, IMO it falls short of EXTREME. Just a matter of degree. |
