I turned 60 in Oct 2016 and decided to get back into sailing beach cats. I purchased a getaway and have had a great time with it. Sailed to Cayo Costa Fl 2 weeks ago with It. So.... I must have the fever because I purchased an 84 Nacra 5.2 last week. I hope my butt isn't writing checks I can't cash. :D

I'm 62, sailing Hobie Cats since I bought my first in 1979, when I was 25.

I am 83. I bought my H-16 new in '85. I just turned it over to my daughter and her husband but plan to sail with them occasionally this season.

I am 51 and learned to sail when I was 10. I had a Hobie 14 when I was a teenager. I haven't sailed since my 20s and now getting back to it with my 1984 H16 I call Yellow Fever, which I should've called her Time Machine. :D

I'm 64, surfed thru the 60's, 70's and 80's; windsurfed in the 90's. Was shamed by co-workers to take a sailing lesson in 2000 something. Liked it a lot. Rented a Hobie Wave for four hours and said to my self, "I got to get me one of these". Now I sail my Wave on the sound in Nags Head NC. Go out a couple of hours to get away from the tourist. Doesn't get any better than that.

44, started when I was 8 with my dad who is now 70 and get a ride on the boat at least a few times per season. I have 5 kids, 24,22,21 and a pair at 11. My 22 yr old took to sailing and I’m hoping we can get the twins involved this summer. Got it up lately?!

I was born in 1963 math is getting a little fuzzy.

Sailed Cats in Utah from 1976 until 1981, moved to CA. then to Orange County Ca. and sailed through college 1986. Stopped sailing then in 2005 or 06 bought an old 79 H18 (blue old softy) sailed for a year with my 8 year old daughter, parted it bought a 86 H18 sailed 2 more years (wanted to give her the same experiences camping and sailing as I had growing up). Bought a better 1984 H18 which weighed in at 403lb at 2009 Havenowind Mega.

Fast forward 2018 still sailing and still own the 84 H18, 97 H20, 04 Tiger.

50 here,
Just bought my hobie 14 turbo a few weeks ago. I have sailed 3 times in my whole life now but It WILL NOT stop there!
I have been on powerboats my whole life, actually even before I was born LOL. Now I see what fun sailing can be.

I'm 26. Always liked sailing, been somewhat interested in Hobies, and when I saw the one I eventually bought (especially for the price) it would've been hard to say no.

I am 68 this season and just bought a 2019 Getaway. I still work full time and sail on the weekends.

You don’t quit playing because you got old… You got old because you quit playing…

I have owned : Bravo, Mirage Tandem Island, Prindle 18, and still have a Seaward 22 and the new 2019 Getaway

See you on the water!

Just bought my first Hobie (a Wave) at 52 years old. It makes sailboat number five since age 19. The others were all mono hulls none over 21 feet in length. It is closer to the windsurfing I used to do in that it is a fast, wet ride and we are often out on Small Craft Advisory days when the short boarders are out.
