Met my BFF at Edisto Beach for some ocean sailing last week. I had given him my old righting system from my mighty Hobie 21 SE, however he had forgot to bring it also he had only brought two life jackets Damn the bad luck used a old HC16 trick and used a 12' half inch line for the righting system. Always good to check boat and equipment before you drive 300 miles
The wind was up and there were big steep breakers most of the time
The boat did very good as expected from any hobie

Side note there was a loggerhead turtle nest near the house. A bucket event happened and we got to watch the turtles digging out and then racing to the water. The high tide was way up and the waves almost reached the nest A wave hit one and it washed up on my feet.
Good times in the hobie way
