So i was thinking of building a righting pole for my Hobie 16 (the kind that is mounted to the front crossbar/dolphin striker) and was wondering how it would work turtled, my thinking is that if it was turtled, you could extend the pole, and then tie a rope to the top of the pole and lean out on the leeward hull, much like you would traditionally right a cat. any thoughts on this idea? Also any thoughts on the power pole style and righting a Hobie 16 solo with it? Thanks!
