I've been to Barbados many times over the past few years & have not been able to find any Hobie Cat rentals.
Today, I go to the beach at the ACCRA Hotel, and low & behold, here is a fellow sitting on a Hobie 16 looking to take people out sailing.
I had conversation with him & it seems most Hobie owners on the island will take you on the boat with them, but not let you take it on your own.
He charges $60.usd/hr.
Contact info: Nicholas Agard
The Agard experience

The boat is a 2002 model, it has an older mast & sails, but is good shape.

I'm planning to go out with him today or tomorrow (stronger wind forecast)
I'll report back after.

Well, we went out... Holy s--t!!!... The wind finder forecast called for 12-14knts & 1 to 1.4m seas, Yeah right,
It reminded me more of that "sharing the wind" video of those guys wave jumping in Hawaii on the Hobie 18s,
This was my first time sailing in conditions like that, what a ride!!!! :o
I would not be single handing in that for sure.
I told Nicholas I would go with him again tomorrow :D

Back in Barbados again....

I hooked up with Nicholas Agard again, checked out some updates he had done since I saw his boat last,

We sailed a couple of times this week, again, great winds and very large waves, 8)
A very different sailing experience from sailing the Ottawa river for sure....
I still would not single hand a Hobie 16 in those conditions, but with 2 on board it was great.

Still $60.USD per hour, but well worth it.

He keeps his Hobie on the beach in front of the ACCRA BEACH RESORT

It's a fabulous beach and only a short walk to BERT'S BAR for those who like to watch NHL hockey (& drink beer of course)

If you're going to Barbados, Check it out

A good friend of mine owned the amaryllis resort near bridgetown, they alway had a few hobies for rent (they also had a dive shop). He sold all his hotels (3) in Barbados a couple yrs ago, I think it is now called Sugar bay and recently renovated. Don't know if they have the beach cat rentals anymore, but it might be worth checking out.
