Hi, I bought my Wave a year ago and self-learned it good enough to go on day-long trips solo. Now for fun and safety reasons I like to find another Wave owner, a group or a club to go few boats at a time. If there is a club, please let me know. You might have a Wave or other model/make - lets sail in a group!
I live near Lake Lanier, GA where I go almost every week if the winds are over 12 miles per hour. For the sake of company, I would take my Wave to other lakes in GA and with some in advance notice, to Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic beach in FL, AL, GA, SC for a day-long trip. I have actually done it already a few times but I am not very comfortable just by myself in the open water.
I think I am a bit crazy dreaming that one day I can take a multi-day trip around Florida keys, going down from Ft. Mayers to somewhere on Florida southern tip, or from Miami to Bimini.
No way it can be done without a group, serious preparation and practice.
I will try to look after this post to see replies but just in case, here is my email [email protected]

anechets, I too would like to sail with another Wave. I'm in the SF Bay area, so we can't sail together.
With how popular the wave is supposed to be I NEVER see another one sailing in the Bay Area. Come on Wave owners where are you? Let sail.

Funny! Two guys on opposite side of the States.
One day we might meet mid ground - TX.

Our local dealer is actively building a fleet to sail together with in Michigan. Perhaps you could talk to your local dealer about setting up one night a week sailing on a local lake to get everyone together and hone their skills.
