| Post subject: | Chicago beach slips |
I'm looking to find, if they exist, beach spots where one can keep a Hobie for the season north of downtown Chicago. I'm moving from a town where we have seasonal beach spots we can annually rent on a decent sailing lake. |

I'm not from Chicago, but I believe there are a number of spots just north of the city. Wilmette and Evanston, I think. I bought a 16 that had been used at the beaches there for years, it needed a bottom job. |

Montrose beach has on beach boat storage. I don't know how much is available. Check with the Chicago Park District. |

Wilmette, Evanston and Glencoe have space. My Getaway is in Wilmette with 100+ other Hobies. Probably the nicest overall beach setup anywhere near Chicago. Contact the Wilmette Park District soon - they have a lottery to choose spaces early in March each year. |
